Shawn Narancich, CFA

Of Counsel

Shawn Narancich, CFA, joined the firm in 2008 and currently is of counsel to the firm.

Prior to joining Ferguson Wellman, Shawn was an investment analyst and vice president at Chittenden Corporation in Burlington, Vermont and a senior corporate financial analyst at Stancorp Financial Group. Previously, he was a vice president and portfolio manager with Wells Fargo and an equity research analyst with D.A. Davidson & Co. 

Shawn earned B.S. degrees in accounting and business administration from College of Great Falls. He currently serves on the Meridian Park Medical Foundation’s board of trustees and was a past chair and serves on Legacy Healthcare’s investment committee. Shawn is also past board chair of the Cascades Region American Red Cross and is a member of the CFA Institute Society of Portland. 

He and his wife and two children enjoy the outdoors and sports in their spare time.

Giving Thanks (And Talking Drama)

The holiday-shortened week was chock full of drama … all centered around both the market’s current mania (artificial intelligence) and the market’s favorite pandemic era mania (cryptocurrency). A strong third quarter earnings season, favorable inflation data and a moderation of long-term interest rates have all contributed to a stellar month for the stock market which is now within 5% of its all-time high, which was reached in December 2021. We will all be giving thanks if recent momentum continues into the end of the year.
