An important part of our culture at Ferguson Wellman and West Bearing is community engagement. Our employees collectively serve on over 55 nonprofit boards and our company manages assets for nearly 60 nonprofit organizations.
Going back to our founding days and accelerated for 37 years by the leadership of Jim Rudd and others in our firm – community involvement is part of our DNA.
Scott Christianson, CFP®, one of our executive vice presidents and leaders on our wealth management committee, was recently featured in Portland Monthly with his wife Lauren for their involvement with Donate Dinner. This campaign is a 20-year collaboration between Meals on Wheels People and New Seasons Market that relies heavily on community volunteers.
Christianson serves on the board of directors for Meals on Wheels People and has volunteered with the organization for over four years. Meals on Wheels People was founded in 1969 and today delivers more than 8,000 meals to Portland seniors every day.
