Katherine Russell joined the firm in 2018 and serves as senior vice president of Octavia Group, our private family office for Ferguson Wellman and West Bearing clients. In her role, she provides clients with assistance for a range of responsibilities, including bill pay, insurance assessments, cybersecurity and technology support, tax documentation and coordination and other special projects. Katherine previously managed our compliance department and holds her IACCP designation. She is also a shareholder of the firm.
Prior to joining our firm, Katherine worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for over 22 years. While at the FBI, she served as a supervisory special agent and was responsible for overseeing the White Collar Crime Program which handled cases related to complex financial crimes, public corruption, healthcare fraud, government fraud, and human trafficking and civil rights.
Katherine earned her B.S. in banking and finance from Mississippi State University and her J.D. from University of Alabama School of Law.
Katherine is an avid athlete, pursuing many outdoor adventures with her husband and two children in her spare time.
